Design doesn’t matter does it? Well at least not to all.

Posted by Chris Pawloski on Mar 9, 2009

While checking my daily news and blog sites this morning I came across an interesting and almost comical video previewing the new Spirit Treo Pro cellphone. Well nothing here is really interesting except for witnessing how flawed and backwards the usability is on this thing. The best part of this rather bland video [...]

Design is all about Theory

Posted by Chris Pawloski on Dec 16, 2008

Too often when people refer to or attempt to demonstrate graphic design abilities they speak of the aesthetics of design.  In our industry there is a misconception that the more you know photoshop, the more you can manipulate “graphics” the better the graphic designer you are.  Of course graphic design is really about problem solving more [...]

The only thing that would have made this summary cooler (in my opinion) was if they did it with live typography via CSS. Great summary regardless. Stay tune for the final ending…

I {heart} Poster Art

Posted by Chris Pawloski on Sep 26, 2008

I am a huge fan of poster design. I get excited about vintage classics and current “gig posters” equally if the talent and originality is there. In my spare time (rare) I create posters for bands, venues, events, …etc. Now that winter is on its way I am looking forward to setting up [...]
