Here is a compiled list of sites that use traditional artistic techniques in modern web design. Its nice to see some organic layouts and unique effects.
Best Part of this list is my alma mater is featured in the 6th row- really enjoy the design of the site.

Check out Don’s Marco’s site. All of his work is done with Crayola Crayons!
Now, I was never a big fan of Western/Native American art (which he features a lot), but his pieces are just unbelievable, and it’s amazing to see what he can do with just an ordinary box of crayons.

Here’s a nice place to view some statistics on screen resolutions. These numbers will vary a bit site to site depending on target audience, but they still give us a pretty good idea of what’s out there.

I am personally a big fan of web designer Andy Rutledge’s writings on design. He is defiantly blunt and can be crass at times but he is consistent and passionate. While I do not always agree with his opinions I do admire his integrity and his approach to design philosophy. Check out [...]
